Halo Wars 2 still not in plans

Fans of Halo Wars will have to wait longer for a sequel, as there are no plans for a new edition of the Halo-licensed real-time strategy game, despite its high sales.

Frank O'Connor of 343 Industries told CVG in interview: “The funny thing about Halo Wars is it actually beat our sales forecasts, so it was a bigger success than we expected, It was a big critical success and it’s still the number one selling RTS on consoles this generation... it was a huge success but is the will to do a sequel there? Who knows. We could do something that works on Kinect, for example. There’s no will against it but we’re not working on it right now.”

It's a little harder since the original developer, Ensemble Studios, was disbanded shortly after the game was completed, and Robot Entertainment recently bowed out of Microsoft's Age of Empires Online mid-development.

umm, thats not halo 3, halo odst, halo reach, and halo wars. Halo 1 was a good port to the PC while halo 2 was a piece of shit not even worth playing port to the PC (IMO).

Would enjoy a "HALO" RTS on the PC. As for "HALO 2" being on PC...it was on Vista-only, so that barely counts:)

I think it is time that they port Halo 3 to PC. Took them three years to make a port-to-pc for Halo 2.

"C&C 4" - ech!
I wish they'd do a followup to "Emperor" - Battle for Dune". Now although not a critical success at the time, I loved the game as it was a leap forward in the genre. Now we just have clones (although "DoW II" did breathe some fresh air into genre). Yes "C&C 3" was good, but the camera, oh the camera (I'm talking about lack of real zoom and screen-filling GUI).
