GDC 2011: Samaritan tech demo unveiled

Epic Games has unveiled its latest tech demo Samaritan at the Games Developer Conference, Samaritan. Be prepared to be absolutely amazed by the visuals in this game - you've never seen the Unreal Engine look this good.

The official demonstration video of Epic Games huge upgrades to their Unreal Engine 3 tech has become available on the Internet. It sports DX11 tessellation.

The new UE3 also fully supports Nvidia's Physx, Apex and 3D Vision technologies too. It brings the engine to "unprecedented new levels" says Mark Rein.

"Thanks to NVIDIA's excellent cross-platform physics technologies and DX11 expertise, we have enhanced Unreal Engine 3 to bring unprecedented new levels of realism and demonstrate what the next generation of gaming will be," Epic VP mark Rein.

I would highly doubt anyone will ever have an engine capable of surpassing the Cry engine any time soon. Oh and if this is Unreal engine 3, it certainly won't be any where near Crysis 2.
