New MMO titles tend to struggle a little in the beginning as they find a following, but Age of Conan has exploded with popularity at such an early stage.
It has already pillaged the pre-orders record for a PC game with 700,000 copies, near half of which went to North America alone - but will subscriptions stick? It's important to remember that MMO's come with a free trial period to lure in gamers, at the end it's simply a matter if the game has enough seduction to keep interests high. Regardless of that fact for now, Funcom deserve a hardy slap-on-the-back for pulling off such a feat in the MMO space. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is available on PC and was launched May 20th in North America, and May 23rd in Europe. Click here to visit the official Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures website.
