The team were "trying to do a prequel" but it didn't pan out so well. Caruso wants to "capture" how scary the videogame is to play in the film. "We're working on the story," said director D.J. Caruso (I Am Number Four). "We had one attempt of trying to do a prequel, but the story didn't quite work out as well as we wanted it to." The film is a collaboration between publisher EA and Twilight producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey. Angst riddled teen love triangles aren't likely - phew. "But if we can capture how - I don't want to say, I guess, how scary or horrifying it would be to play that game because it's really, really fantastic - it'd be fun to make that into a movie." Visceral Games promise that any live action Dead Space movie would be worthy of the fans and not just some "cheap cash-in" by the studio or EA. Source: Eurogamer | |
