Raven job post boasts studio "contributions" to Call of Duty

Developer Raven Software has confirmed they're involved with the Call of Duty franchise through a recent job listing for a 'designer - builder' to join them.

Their pedigree 'includes contributions' to the "blockbuster Call of Duty series", and they want new blood to "work on a first-person shooter." Just DLC?

Rumour places the talent of Raven alongside Treyarch as they work together on multiplayer map packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops. However there are also rumblings that Raven is involved with 2011's as of yet unannounced entry in the series.

"RAVEN SOFTWARE, developer of numerous award-winning games, including contributions to the blockbuster Call of Duty series is seeking passionate designers to join an established team at work on a first-person shooter," details the Raven website.

That would place them in cahoots with Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

Hmm, Raven is one of those developers I can't really make up my mind about. They seem to be really good at some stuff - but just when it comes to making their own games and larger titles - they seem to fall short of a true hit every time. Hope they can do something good for COD though - it is desperately needing something new!
