Namco Bandai have trademarked 'Katamari amore' and 'Katamari amore Rolling Whopper' in Europe, signalling a likely return to the quirky roll-em-up series.
They also nabbed 'Time Trip' and 'Have a Nice Trip!' which seems to be its tagline. The last Katamari game was Katamari Forever for PS3 almost 2 years ago.
Are you hopeful Namco Bandai will be returning Katamari? What does the publisher/studio have planned with this 'Time Trip'? Maybe E3 will clear up all this red tape. Katamari creator Keita Takahashi quit Namco in 2010 after 11 years.
"The games I was making were not necessarily the best-selling ones. I realised Namco was, as a business, going down a bit. Also, my colleagues were leaving to do another project. I started to feel like I didn't belong there any more," said Takahashi-san.
