Magicka: Vietnam gets release date

The first DLC for the action-RPG Magicka has been given a release date: Magicka: Vietnam will be hitting all digital distribution channels on April 12, and will cost $4.99 USD.

According to the press release: Magicka: Vietnam features a lengthy challenge scenario that puts you in the combat boots and stylish robe of a Wizard GI. Venture deep into the Goblin-Cong jungle with up to three fellow soldiers in a heroic attempt to liberate prisoners from a POW camp and face off against deadly Vietnam themed enemies. Destroy enemy positions, escape the perils of the jungle and return safely to the evacuation helicopter (“Get to the chopper!!”).

Magicka: Vietnam also contains a new survival challenge map with increased difficulty in direct response to the request from the community. In the Magickal jungles of Vietnam you'll have an array of Vietnam-era weapons and a special Magick that calls in a napalm strike on enemy positions. Players will of course still have access to what makes Magicka truly unique – the dynamic spell casting system and a healthy dose of humour.

The best part? Multiplayer games of Magicka: Vietnam only require one player to own the DLC - the other freeloaders will be able to enjoy the content so long as the host has it.

Yeah finally a release date for Vietnam, this is quite interesting, the fact that, only the host has to own the DLC so that others can play it, NICE ^_^ .

Huh? I thought Magicka Vietnam was a whole game altogether, not DLC. Doesn't matter, this is better. :D

OMG, next we'll be getting "LEGO: Vietnam". I missed out on the draft by only two years, and I seriously doubt that I would have found the jungles of that country 'magical'.

I visited Vietnam a few years back and certainly saw no wizards or goblins...until I drank the Cobra snake wine. Then I saw all sorts of magical, colourful things before passing out.
