PC and Mac gamers will finally get to check out the fun PlayStation 3 action/strategy title Hoard, as it has been released today on Steam for $9.99 (€9.99).

"If you like dragons, gold, princesses, knights, burglars, giants, medieval villages, wizard towers, gems, or fire, you'll probably like HOARD," says Tyler Sigman, executive producer at developer Big Sandwich, "But if you like great games and great value, you'll definitely like it."

For gamers who haven't heard of Hoard, it's a fast-paced game in which you play a dragon trying to rack up points by snaring gold, killing troops. The game features over 35 different maps and 4 modes, ranging from single player score-attack to co-op and head-to-head multiplayer matches.

The game will include over 100 Steam achievements, leaderboards, multiplayer matching, friend invites, stats, and Steam cloud saving. Steam Play is also supported, meaning users who own both a PC and Mac only need buy the game once. Several impressive new features are also making their appearance in the Steam version, including graphical boosts like Night mode and a crisp winter tileset.

100 Steam Acievemenets - a bit of overkill in the awards department (I never get more than 20 in games with that many).
Just watched a video of it, and reminds me a lot of "Heroes of Migt & Magic III" - from a top down view. The coffee table is a questionable choice to go with, but the game should appeal to ardent Indie and Casual gamers alike...but for how long?

Check the demo out.

The weird thing is that the game recognizes the 360 controller - so you're playing a PS3 game on PC with a 360 controller.
