Thanks to Japanese magazine Famitsu we now know that Armored Core V has some long-haul missions for us in the game's singleplayer campaign.

Levels can range from 20 minutes to an hour, and there's 70 additional "order missions" to keep things action-packed. Armored Core V is due early 2012.

Thankfully we get saves throughout the levels courtesy of "garage points" which let us repair our hulking mechs. All missions can be played co-operatively online. Players fight over territory online and you can merc yourself out to other teams.

Armored Core V releases for Xbox 360 and PS3 in early 2012.
