Mass Effect 3 details emerge in print, old squadies will return

The latest issue of Game Informer magazine spills juicy details about BioWare's Mass Effect 3, such as it including a lot more RPG and freedom to develop your team.

Garrus and Liara are definitely returning with others depending on whether they survived. Cerberus is royally ticked off and after Shephard and the Normandy.

The third game follows on from the events in the Arrival DLC for Mass Effect 2 which will have Commander Shephard facing trial, but he's soon excused as the Reapers show up knocking down the door and invading Earth. Cerberus wants Shephard dead.

It's possible this is due to certain choices made by the player though, so Cerberus might not be hunting every player. Garrus and Liara return to the squad with others also showing up depending whether they survived the original or sequel game.

Multiple endings make a return and are decided by your actions and squad choices. BioWare promise there's a lot more RPG in Mass Effect 3, and greater freedom in shaping the player character with larger skill trees and more.

Multiplayer is not to be included with the third game, but could in a later instalment. Mass Effect 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC later this year.

I can't really say there are many games I'm looking forward too. But ME3 is definitely one of them. Curious how many mission will be on Earth this time around. :P

This just keeps getting better and better, Cerberus hates me since I destroyed the Collectors base, and I sent the Council to hell could never stood them in first place, and let's not forget the Reapers, my list of friends in this game is very short, and thats why I like this game so much, All hail Shepard.

I have been playing like it is actually me in the game. I have even spent up to hours on a decision on this game (save the game and look at the outcomes of the decisions). This game is very entertaining. I am reinstalling ME2 for the DLC now.... I think I might replay ME1 very very soon... Can't wait for ME3, hope there is a ME4 too! xD

It did feel like the game was dictating what I would like to have freedoms with. Mainly with the team creation. I also wish I could have more than two teammates with me. Why have an entire crew ready to fight and die, but not be able to use everyone of them for certain missions?

Can you say "clusterfuck"?
It'd clog up the maps considerably and require vast swathes of enemies to remain challenging.

I think 2 party members is just right for this game.

I don't know how they'll keep the game like the others...

If the game is about the reaper attack, how will you casually visit different systems?

To me this series will die fast. Not because it will lose support, but because how will they continue it? Yes, it is about the reaper attack, so do you continue the reaper threat or do you come up with a new threat?

It was never meant to go beyond ME3. It's called a trilogy.

Yes, Bioware have stated it is a trilogy, but that won't stop them from developing offshoots such as a ME-based or even themed MMO.

^True. I personally hope bioware creates something like ME. Something just as good. :D

Check this out. It is G4's deathmath of the best franchise. I personally think ME will take 1st.
