The Arcade Edition of Street Fighter IV will bring the series to a close, Capcom fighting game guru Seth Killian announced. According to Killian, "The plan is this is the end of Street Fighter IV. Arcade Edition will be the end of Street Fighter IV. What comes next? We'll see. But we aren't planning any more Street Fighter IVs."

Capcom announced today at Captivate 2011 the launch of the Arcade Edition as a retail disc release and as downloadable content.

"It's been really gratifying to see the players and even the press, who were very kind to the game," Killian praised, "We were fortunate. I know how great these games are, so the chance to introduce them to a new generation, or even have another great run for the old generation, has been special."

Currently, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono is hard at work on Street Fighter x Tekken with is coming in 2012.

The surprising news is that there will be a new SSIV come on the game is good but putting more characters, and have to pay the price of full game sound pretty cheap...
