Fallout: New Vegas patch coming, DLC after

Bethesda has posted a message in the Bethblog forums, stating that not only is the "upcoming DLC" (which we know already to be Honest Hearts thanks to a leaked trailer and some screenshots) finished, but a patch is going to be released before the DLC release.

The blog states: So what’s in that patch? First and foremost, optimizations and stability improvements. While there are bug fixes, our core focus was on improving stability and performance. We worked directly with first party platform owners to identify issues, and we have fixed a great deal of the crashes and lockups that people were experiencing. In addition, we scoured the forums and this patch includes weapon balance tweaks and other requested fixes.

Having played through the game two times, I doubt a DLC would be enough for a re-run. I didn't have any performance or stability issues at all. Loved the game, much better than Fallout 3.

That's rather week - Fallout NV is more or elss dead to me right now. Haven't played much since I hit the level roof and the DLC didn't sound fun enough and the game just feels old now. It was what Fallout 3 should have been in many ways, but so many problems missed opportunities could only live for so long.

Since I didn't like this game anyway, DLC is not gonna make me change my mind. This can't even touch Fallout 2.

New Vegas was definitely closer to the original Fallout in tone than fallout 3 but it did suffer from a number of strange (and sometimes hilarious) bugs.

It's good to see that they haven't abandoned the NV patching completely yet. That being said, the DLC really hasn't sparked my interest this game.

Of course they haven't abandoned patching, they simply want to earn as much money as possible. That does NOT mean that they wish for the game to be better.

Biggest problem is that NV seems more difficult to mod to as well :S
Zvezdalina - Fallout 2 is the BOMB! :D
