New The Settlers 7 DLC to add co-op mode

The fourth DLC pack for The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom will be landing this Monday, according to a pre-order listing on the GamersGate web site. The new DLC will cost $4.99 USD, but if you own the Gold Edition, it'll be completely free.

The major addition the DLC will bring is a new co-op mode. Not to worry - the co-op mode will be released free via an upcoming patch to allow all players and all maps to enjoy it. This new gameplay mode will allow players to share things like technology, trade posts and victory points with his or her team partner along with sending resources and goods to each other.

The DLC will also include a new two player map (Forest Realm) along with two more maps, Tower Island and Throne of the Kings that have been made especially for the game's new co-op mode.

They did this recently for the "Dark Angels" DLC for "DoW II - Retribution"). Owners of the CE got it for free instead of paying $7.50 (like me:D).
I look forward to when this game gets released with all DLC at Sale Price. Haven't played a "Settlers" game since No.3.

I loved S7. MP was good with it too. Not too many people would quit if they see they're losing. But that's just luck I guess. I'm not saying I was winning x) in fact I mostly was losing :\

It sounds like the co-op mode is quite attractive, ha? :-D

Not a big fan of Settlers - and I'm fairly certain that DLC is going to turn out as another thing I'm not fond of... oh heck - I'm sure I am not fond of it - I don't want to pay 7,50 for the Dark Angels to DOW2!!!

I really enjoy games with a nice co-op mode.

Does S7 still have the intrusive always on DRM? Or did they remove it like they did other ubisoft titles such as Silent Hunter 5?

did they remove "SH5"'s DRM? When did that happen? I haven't played ina year (back to "SH4" with the Trigger Maru Overhauled Mod).

well The DRM is still there, but I believe they patched it back in January so you no longer require a constant connection... just when you start and when you want to save?

Minor improvement.

Hmmm. doesn't help save the game, though:(
