Battlefield 3 'My Life' trailer launched

DICE has released a new trailer for Battlefield 3. While most of the video is stuff that has been shown a few times before, the end of the trailer features some new footage, such as fighter jet combat and cliff diving.

Looking better and better each time I view it (maps look great). Hope EA's servers don't crash release day due to the heavy load.

Yeah, I think this is getting a certainty that can only be ruined now by some butt-ugly DRM scheme or something really stupid like micro transactions that have impact on the MP part or something similar....

It's a dead cert buy for me, and I'd like to get in early before all the conquistadors from "BF2" start nerfing me (which won't be hard). Looking forward to vehicle combat the most (love my T-90 in "BF:BC 2").

The game does look good. But after playing Black Ops, Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 Way too much! I think I'm going to take a break from the FPS genre for awhile. I need a Peacefull game now! :P

Been playing strategy games and flight sims here, so I'll be up for a nice FPS rave. Might give the MP a go and see how crazy that is (I remember the insanity when "BF:BC2 - Vietnam" went online and noone knew the maps....carnage). Then go to SP for a more relaxed intro to the game. Trouble is the "BF" hardcore mob will be ranking up fast in MP, ready to nerf the "newbies" when they go online. I don't want to see the "spawn-die" I experienced in "BF 2".

I found, and stayed with a couple of servers that watched out for spawn kills, base rape and other game destroying behaviour. Some worked pretty decent! Spawn killing and base raping isn't exactly fun :S

Base-raping is still attempted in "BF:BC 2" but the player is generally kicked pretty quickly (low tolerance for that). Austraian servers are generally very strict with rules and enforce them quickly. Players who now base-rape can be reported to the server admin and within 24 hours they are banned.
Still in "BF2", those damned jets just kept circling spawn points with noone to stop them. Hopefully they'll get a nasty surprise from the server admins.

If you make BF full on realistic it won't be the same. BF is fine the way it is. In real life stingers are only good for anti-helicopter weapons, but even on helicopters it is hard to shoot one down. If they added the F-22 to be realistic (instead of how it is) I can guarantee you that anyone knowing how to use it will NEVER get shot down, hell they will never even get seen. When it comes to fighter the F-22 has no competition. The A-10 also being added realistic would be devastating. You would blow up by it and have no idea how to say the least. Everything in BF is not realistic, just be happy.

Yeah mate, it was a joke you're right. The modelling of the hardware in "BF:BC 2" is nowhere near close to the real thing but suits gameply very well indeed. I'm sure they'll keep the same for "BF3". A F-22 would be off the map in seconds, and you'd spend what time you had trying to fly circles to stay inside the map margins...not fun at all.
In "BF2" the guys that really got to know how to handle the jets did make a nuisance of themselves at times, particulalrly if you were trying to get from a carrier to the shore where the battle was. I think that's what Wolfy meant.

I wonder if the choppers will have that anti tank missle that was guided by the gunner to the target. That was so cool. Makes for some excellent team play if you got a sidekick to fly with you. Same goes for airplanes, though I was usually useless with flying them or being a gunner.
