Publishers 1C Company and UK-based Lace Mamba Global continue partnership as LMG will bring Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad to retail in the UK.

They'll be releasing it in Australian stores too under LMG, with the PC first-person shooter due out August 2011. It's packs singleplayer, multiplayer and co-op.

Really what more could you ask of game that lets you "experience one of the most brutal battles in all of human history"? The shooter is set between "July 1942 to February 1943" and switches between Russian and German sides during the battles for Stalingrad.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad releases on PC this August.

Why 1C don't publish themselves, like 777 Studios or Eagle Dynamics is crazy. Yes, it might get them a wider International retail release (Nightfall is another that publish overseas releases as retail packages in Australia). However, there are very few in any given store, and are rarely bought.
1C ruined "IL-2: Cliffs of Doom" by going with Ubisoft.

It's been years since the first one came out. I wonder what sort of improvments they've made to this one?

1C tries really hard, and I want to like their games, but they usually come out with clones of games I already have.

Let's get it on!
