Microsoft's updated the Xbox Live Status page with an alert that warns users of a potential phishing scam while playing Modern Warfare 2.
"Users may receive potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging while playing Modern Warfare 2." read a statement on the . "We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience"
Everything else is up and running perfectly fine on Xbox Live, but this could cause a few alarm bells to ring as it comes following the on-going issues Sony has with PlayStation Network being down for over a week. Sony admitted last night that private information has been stolen.
Could hackers target Xbox Live next? It's difficult to say at this time, but we'll stay in touch with Microsoft as this develops.
