EA: Two or three new IPs 'always in the works', reveals at E3

During its fiscal investor call, EA revealed they've always got two or three new IPs being worked on so they don't need to rely on non-stop sequels.

They teased more is likely to be known about them at E3 this year. Recent examples of new IP include Dead Space, Dante's Inferno, and Dragon Age.

Mirror's Edge is another new IP and one that EA promise they aren't finished with yet despite poor sales, which were blamed on an overcrowded holiday slate. Does EA have a good track record for introducing new franchises?

Can't wait for Mirrors Edge 2. That game is going to be awesome.

Mirrors edge didn't interest me one bit. And as for EA to introduce new IP's I don't know - I start trembling with fear and nostalgia fever whenever they mention rebooting an old concept...

I enjoyed Mirrors Edge but it could have been so much more than it was... so if they do go ahead with ME2 then I hope they fulfill its potential!

Maybe they need to release Mirrors Edge 2 around the tenth month of the year.
