CV mentions "Rainbow Six (2011)," domain name sniffed out

It appears Ubisoft is busy whipping up a new Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six title as a recording engineer's CV mentions he "developed Pro Tools sessions" for it.

The web domain 'rainbowsix-bd.com' has also been spotted and was staked by Ubisoft in '09, and amended last year. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 retailed back in '08.

Sean Popejoy's LinkedIn profile says he "developed Pro Tools sessions from Ubisoft audio for the game demo of Rainbow Six (2011)." This news broke on NeoGAF, with the same person also spotting Ubisoft behind the rainbowsix-bd.com domain.

Rainbow six is a title that either bears promises or sour remarks IMO. Some have been great, others are real crap. I hope they dare to question and remake the formula a bit.

Rainbow six is a very nice title indeed, when it comes out I might give it a try.

I hope they can quicken the pace a bit and somehow still retain the tactical part of the game. Can't decide if I like the Vegas games better then the earlier though. The strategic part of the first games had a bit of a steep learning curve..

Yes they had, but that's something that made the series unique so I hope they go for a somewhat tactical experience.

I'm sure any new R6 game they make will make more concessions towards the 'mainstream' audience. Compare Vegas to the original and there's few similarities.

@ FoolWolf. At least the earlier games didn't have long loading times, else geting killed 10-15 times a mission would have been worse than it already was.

True Eversor. I thought that the first Vegas game was decent. The crouching and wallhuggung was ok and the few tactical choices was easy enough - perhaps a bit too easy and streamlined - but there were too many places where you had a very hard time to get through due to the set-up and limited choices of your AI buddies...
And as you pointed out - die - load - wait - arrrgh ;)

I haven't played the Vegas series. The ones that I have are Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, and it's ex pack Athena Sword. Got them in the Gold Edition. About AI. The AI of your buddies (at least on the above mentioned games) is awful, best to play the missions solo. Although in some missions it's really good and enjoyable to just basically flash through a mission. I completed Athena Sword using AI good guys in around 45 minutes. Pretty quick, huh.
