Maxis' latest series Darkspore won't be shackled to the PC as apparently studio Naked Sky Entertainment have been tasked with prepping the title for consoles.

The Spore-inspired action-RPG will release for Xbox 360 and PS3 according to a developer's online CV, which clearly states they "worked with Maxis" on it.


While EA has only ever mentioned PC and Mac for Darkspore, Maxis executive producer Mike Perry did mention that it could port to consoles if fan demand was there. It would seem EA was already hopeful that gamers wanted an Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

EA has issued the standard "no comment" to the whole affair. As ever it was superannuation who sniffed out this morsel from the depths of the Internet.
