Thomas Howalt, business development director at IO Interactive, has told GamesIndustry.biz that the release of the Kane & Lynch video game didn't go as badly as many would of thought after the massive scandal that happened with reviews. "We had some really harsh reviews and there was all this noise about this thing with GameSpot and it sort of went over my head whatever people were fighting about. The web has its own voice and it can be very loud," said Howalt. He also claims that the company actually managed to break-even with sales, and that the game is still selling fairly well at retail. So the release of Kane & Lynch didn't turn out so bad for Eidos after all. Source: GamesIndustry.biz | |
