GamersFirst has declared the open beta of A.P.B. Reloaded a "smashing success", as the open world MMO hit a peak concurrent players (PCCU) figure of "just under 24,000", with the average gamer spending over three hours per session.

The beta is a little more popular in around, with the PCCU “WELL over 12,000 PCCU in Europe" and with the daily totals add up to over four times the 24k mark.

The developer used some other MMO's PCCU's for comparison. For example, after four years, EVE Online reached 35,000 peak concurrent players in 2007, World of Tanks hit 25,000 PCCU after a year of beta time, and Combat Arms reached 12,000 PCCU during their 10-month beta in Europe a few years ago. A.P.B. Reloaded achieved a PCCU of 24,000 after 6 days of open beta.

Never did get the appeal of "APB", and I'm sure many of the 24,000 are there more for curiosity than long term commitment.
