DICE has revealed new details surrounding their highly anticipated shooter, Battlefield 3.

Along with a release date of October 25th, the studio also announced that a multi-platform, open multiplayer beta will be arriving in September.

In addition to this, DICE announce a 'Battlelog' feature, which is sounding like a cross between Need for Speeds Autolog, and Activision's Call of Duty Elite service, and will be free of charge.

A fortnight before "CoD: MW 3". Activision pipped at the post, and will no doubt bring out all the fanboy vs. hater flaming posts on the forums.

Well it's certain for me. Getting Battlefield 3. Skipping MW3 unless a friend buys it, and lets me play.
