Wargaming.net's World of Tanks team is now also developing World of Warplanes, a free-to-play team-based MMO for avid fans of 1930's to 1950's aircraft.

Their World of Tanks experience has been "extremely successful" and they want to bring that same high quality, "if not better", to World of Warplanes.

"We are proud to be able to develop another high quality Free to Play game for the world's gaming community,” said Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi.

“World of Tanks has been extremely successful and we look to bring the same high quality if not better to World of Warplanes.” The studio has also developed the Massive Assault series and Order of War. World of Tanks has around 3 million registered users.

Okay, now this has me intrigued. Basically, how are they going to do it, and how will the game mechanics work? Can't wait to here more.

Or Submarines, but that probably would go with the Ships theory.
