E3 2011: Rocksteady would adapt other heroes, 'must inspire'

Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Rocksteady is open to working on other superhero games as they won't "rule anything out," after their huge success.

They'll jump on "whatever inspires the team" and that's Gotham City's Dark Knight for the moment. Their next team inspiration "might be another character."

"I wouldn't rule anything out," said Rocksteady's co-founder. "What drives us is the passion of the games we want to make so I wouldn't say we definitely wouldn't do anything at this time." Arkham Asylum literally blew away critics and fans when it released.

"I think it's going to be whatever inspires the team. Whatever inspires the team, that's what we're going to do and it might be another character." The studio has quite the love affair with Batman as a lot of staff are fans of the comic book world.

What other DC Universe characters would you like Rocksteady to explore? Batman: Arkham City releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC October 18th in the US, 21st in Europe.

So there might actually be a good "Superman" game finally released (still shudder at the memory of "Superman 64").
