According to Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick in an interview with Forbes Magazine: "We don’t really talk about it in detail but you will see future Duke IP coming from this company. Part of it is the economic opportunities that interact with entertainment are so huge. Part of it is that we are very creative folks in control. Part of it is we don’t want to ever be in the position of dumping something down just to make another buck." Worse games have seen multiple iterations - think back on the Army Man series - because Duke Nukem Forever, despite a 50 Metacritic score, made a ton of money. The next Duke Nukem game, however, won't have the crutch of being a cultural touchstone, and will have to be good to make money. Source: Exophase | |
