Bleszinski: Hacks a "very sensitive" issue, it's "scary" for devs

Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski declares it "f***ing sucked" when PlayStation Network got hit, but it's a "very sensitive thing" dealing with hackers these days.

If you "p*** off" a group then they can "get to your stuff and mess you up." This so called "connected future" we're in is "scary" because of these people.

Since PSN was blinded for almost a month there have been numerous attacks on other various videogame companies, each usually resulting in personal data breached.

"I think dealing with hackers is a very sensitive thing, because if you piss off...the wrong hacker group, they can really get to your stuff and mess you up," said Bleszinski.

"It’s just a shame. It cost them an untold amount of money; I know developers who couldn’t put their betas out there because of it. I mean, it was a major problem. So it’s pretty scary to be a game developer, especially when you talk about there being a connected future."

He added that Microsoft's approach was perhaps better and spared them a little, referring to the corporate giant's support of Kinect for PC 'hacks'. They're "embracing it," he said. Microsoft is adamant that no one has hacked Xbox Live yet.

Well, maybe Microsoft is funding those hackers to wreak havoc to their rivals :) Nothing is impossible in this world...

Nice isn't it.
Maybe it's time for Live to go offline.

Well it's all been quiet for a few days as far as hackings are concerned, doubt that'll last though.

EDIT: Scratch that, apparently Minecraft, Eve Online and League Of Legends have been hacked recently as well.
