IO has focussed on "easing the player into" Hitman: Absolution

The Hitman franchise has been "a very hard game" historically, and it "still is in many ways," but IO also put a lot of new effort into "easing the player" into it.

Hitman: Absolution won't be as punishing to newcomers. The new AI means Rambo fans "can play Rambo better than ever before", but stealth is deeper too.

"Hitman has historically been a very hard game, and it still is in many ways, but we also focussed on... easing the player into the game,” said IO Interactive's Tore Blystad. The original game didn't support saving during a mission so screw ups meant restarting.

"Making him understand the game and making him form choices, rather than just killing him off and having him restart.” The new dynamic AI behaviour of foes means aggressive players who "wanna play Rambo, now they can play Rambo better than ever before".

The studio aren't neglecting 47's more traditional super stealth approaches though. "If you wanna play stealthy, then we also have a lot more depth than we ever had before in the stealth gameplay,” said game director Blystad.

Hitman: Absolution releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2012.

same typo I think you want to say "The studio aren't neglecting" instead of "are"

Because that would be very bad! It's the reason I loved the hitman series.

Why not make it more accessible and keep an insane difficulty for the ones loving it. Sort of the realism setting in Fallout NV...
