The UK launch of Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon gets pushed back a week from July 15th to the 22nd, and Namco apologies to "all UK EDF fans".

It's a sequel to Earth Defense Force 2017. You'll be protecting the city of New Detroit from giant bugs and can team up with a friend. Stock could run dry.

"Apologies to all UK EDF fans of the slightly late launch in July," said Namco Bandai's UK PR and marketing boss Lee Kirton via twitter. "Trust me that it's a great fun game for great price. And co-op!" Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon heads for Xbox 360 and PS3.

"We don't have a major ship in the UK so worth those that want a great action game pre-ordering," said Kirton, encouraging fans to reserve their copy. Are you chomping at the bit for your Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon copy, videogamer?
