Gaslamp Games has announced that Dungeons of Dredmor has achieved gold master status and will be coming to Steam on July 13 for a mere $4.99 USD.

Dungeons of Dredmor is a Rogue-like that is fully aware of the conventions of its drama and revels in them, with a dry British wit. For example, some of the creatures you'll face off against are "undulating Thrusties", "the menacing Brax the Salesdemon," and "giant moustache-wielding brick demons with a mace decorated with tawdry, delicious bacon." Players will find such items such as "shoes decorated by the Dwarven Glittersmiths, all of whom have now committed suicide because of their shame."

As with Rogue-likes, death comes often, and also like all Rogue-likes, you have to start over when you do, and in Dungeons of Dredmor's case, accompanied by a "Congratulations" when you die.
