15GB for the disc version. Hmmm...
I will be getting the EB Games LE:
"Limited Edition Physical Warfare Pack includes:
- Battlefield 3 game
- Battlefield 3 Steelbook
- Expansion pack - Back to Karkand
- TYPE 88 Light Machine Gun DLC
- DAO - 12 shotgun DLC
- Flechette ammo for the DAO-12 shotgun
- Flash Suppressor for SKS Sniper Rifle DLC"

It's actually cheaper than the Digital Stores have it at.
As for the Specs...sweeeet.

I can't help but notice minimum OS being Vista. Might actually have to buy a win7 copy soon.....

Yeah, devs are finally starting to ditch XP and DX9! :D

Nice specs...not close to a trouble here with this beast :)

Surprised kres? It's been known for a long time that BF3 is a DX11 game which means no XP support.

Well, yes. But it IS a bit surprising that that is the fact. A surprisingly large amount of gamers still use XP (myself included).

Maybe so, but it really is time to move on from the old OS and leave DX9 behind us.

I missed that news bit Arrec. Indeed, things need to move on at some point.

LOL. My graphic board is already obsolete "Radeon HD 6850" recommended, "Radeon HD 4890" owned, I want to get a new NVIDIA graphic board but its almost twice as expensive as a RADEON, Oh well next time...

Windows XP is retiring guys. It has done me stirling service for many years, but this day was always going to come.
Having used Win 7 now for several months, I'd never go back to XP. The trouble is, most will probably have to upgrade at least several components to make the move up (DX11-ready GPU, quad core CPU, 4+GB RAM and possibly a new MoBo).

i agree with 'herodotus' xp windows is a bit shit now,

I suspect I might be better off just starting from scratch TBH.

That's what I had to do Roderick.
I built a brand new PC from the case up.

I'm planning on doing the same soon (building one from scratch), no point in upgrading my current pc to windows 7 because it will just hinder the performance and speed

Just need to upgrade my 4890 and i'm set. Luckly autumn is also the season when new graphic cards are born :).
If nothing else the 'old' stuff will be cheaper to get.

I need to upgrade my CPU, motherboard and RAM. My GTX 470 and 950W PSU are fine. :P

I'll be upgrading my 8GB Corsair 1600 RAM to 12GB as I didn't notice that that is what my ASRock MobO is optimised for, not 8GB...noob error:(

Le fail. :P

Nooo, not bloody ASRock! I got ASRock mobo as well and their latest drivers are from 2009. Every time I start my computer I need to reinstall drivers for LAN to get internet access. Not to mention funky flickering problems in BFBC2.

Ordered some other mobo but the store didn't got it and they had that ASRock mobo in the store. The worst purchase ever.

@SirRoderick

Looks like that :) USA is the major market for the gaming industry after all :)

edit: UK is another great market for games :D

As is Russia, where many PC-only titles come from now, particularly serious strategy and flight sim 'games'.
