Xbox Live update adds - nothing

If you turned on your Xbox 360 today, you were prompted for an Xbox Live update. If you're curious as to what new features you'll have after the update, the answer is, you'll get... nothing.

That is, nothing that's tangible. According to Major Nelson, the update is prepping the system for the next big Live update:

There are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated.

This update is preparation for additional system enhancements coming to Xbox 360 later this year.

Of course, there may be security updates that average users wouldn't see or care about.

Yeah i looked this update up as soon as i realised there was one and found it was just a prep patch, personally i cant wait for the next big patch simply because i cant wait to have youtube on my xbox! :)

Amazing! Microsoft as always is on the vanguard of updates now they create updates that do absolutely nothing, genius!
