Red Dead Redemption getting new, free DLC
Posted: 24.07.2011 16:16 by Comments: 17
Rockstar Games has announced on their Twitter feed that new downloadable content will be coming to Red Dead Redemption, and that it'll be free.

It's almost sort of random to have new DLC coming to a year-plus old game, but then again, who can argue with free?

It would be nice if this game gets out for PC in the nearby future.

Seconded.
It's made (almost) all the money it can on the consoles, but there's a full PC market that is still untapped.

I'll be interested in this, if it's SP. The Zombie-genres been overdone, so I've never bothered with Undead Redemption.

Atm I'm playing the Undead Nightmare-DLC which is great, that they still support the game with new content is awesome imo :)

I have this for the PS3 so I don't mind getting some free content! :)

Any word on what it's going to contain?

"there's a full PC market that is still untapped."

Oh, it's been tapped. Full priced non-MMO, non-casual games are lucky to sell more than 200,000 copies.

I know it's not entirely game related but it's close.
Also, if devs and publishers want the sales of their games to go up then they should cut down the prices and increase the quality instead of using gimmicks like mp and co-op(too many of those nowadays IMHO).

@djole381: That article did make me laugh, but it's all too true. And yes, as a player, I rarely journey into the MP aspects of games (hence why I'll only buy this new DLC if it's SP), so improving the MP aspects of games does nothing to convince me to buy the product.

Oh hell, come on Rockstar do one for the pc platform, just like you're doing one for pc with L.A. Noire so it's never too late...

For Christ' sake think about it !!

That's still more than selling 0 copies on the PC :).

I have red dead and just got undead so any DLC will be good. All part of my new found trophy hunting addiction.

You've got RDR on PS3? Then add me(Thibby95 is my PSN), I also just got Undead but I think that there are also MP throphies and none of my friends has Undead, so if you want a buddy to get those throphies with, I'm your guy :)

Rockstar's MO has been to release a game on other platforms a year later.
