Bioware has released a new, 13 and a half minute walkthrough of The Esseles flashpoint for Star Wars: The Old Republic. In the flashpoint, a Republic transport that carries some of the most high-profiled members of the Galactic Senate across the galaxy has come under siege from the opportunistic Grand Moff Kilran.

Bioware developer Dallas Dickinson guides the viewer along as a group of Republic heroes must band together to repel the Imperial boarding parties and retake their ship.

Check out the walkthrough in the video below.

Why? This is an MMO.

Graphics are really OK for MMO's, it would be crazy if you had a populated center with thousands of players and Crysis-level graphics, it would put down any rig.

Also, you want people with low-end rigs to enjoy the game, too. You don't get subscriptions by catering to Alienware PCs.

Yeah i guess i didnt take into account what it takes to run an MMO.

In the old main cities of WoW an average $500 PC would get at most 15fps on low settings. And WoW graphics are pretty close to these.

What I want to see is more skills. All I saw was, at most 3 different skills for each class. Granted this was at a low level. I believe he said right out of starter zone at character level 9. But seeing little actual character control doesn't make me want to buy it.

Not really MindCoil, my old PC had an NVida 8600, garbage by today's standards, and I still had ~20-30 fps on medium-high settings, on what I think is one of the most populated servers in the game. WoW is designed with low-spec players in mind, and so will TOR i think.
But I agree, the skills seem somewhat..lackluster, they don't feel to have a resounding effect, like they do in other MMO's. Remember though, this is far from release.

Far from release and also low level, they will probably make people work hard for more skills as the characters are meant to be very customisable.

There are three skill trees, and they differ depending on the advanced class you choose.

I've said before I would have loved a single player kotor 3 but mmo's can be a really good experience as well so I'm really looking forward to this.

Monthly paying for something which has a story as good as singleplayer but all the advantages of being multiplayer!
