Looks like people will have to wait til next year to play with Sweet Tooth's ice cream truck, as Twisted Metal has been delayed til 2012.

"A late game is only late until it ships. A bad game is bad until the end of time," series creator David Jaffe wrote; the quote was originally from game designer Shigeru Miyamoto.

Jaffe stated, "Now, if we shipped Twisted Metal tomorrow--going off the response from folks who have played it--I assure you, it would never be a bad game," then promised, "With Twisted Metal we plan to ship a multiplayer classic."

Twisted Metal will be playable at Gamescom 2011 and PAX Prime 2011.

And that's why Miyamoto-san is such an incredible heavyweight, a brilliant quote :).

Where would Nintendo be without him, they owe practically everything to him.
