Sony has instituted its own version of Microsoft's Summer of Arcade with the unimaginatively titled "PlayStation Network Play". As with Microsoft's promotion, Sony will offer a game a week on every Wednesday for the next month, and buying all four titles grants a fifth free title. All of the titles are 20% off.


August 24: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition
August 31: The Baconing
September 7: BloodRayne Betrayal
September 14: Renegade Ops

The promotion differs from Microsoft's in that none of the titles are platform exclusives. However, the free game is the highly anticipated shooter Payday: The Heist, which can best be described as Left 4 Dead meets Heat.
