World of Warplanes site announced

Wargaming.net has announced that the official site for World of Warplanes will be open today. The MMO will be set in the Golden Age of military aviation, much like its sister MMO, World of Tanks. The developer promises that World of Warplanes will throw players into a never-ending tussle for air dominance.

“We are thrilled with the launch of a website for World of Warplanes,” said Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi. “We'll be gradually expanding and developing the website along with the growth of the game and its community.”

The website will be located here, and will feature the first in-game screenshots and will further introduce world of warplanes with renders, videos, and other materials to keep players in touch with the latest development updates. The site will also be updated with a fully-featured community section once the game enters the first stages of testing.

However, the site at the time of this article's posting is not live yet.

[UPDATE: The site is now live, but heavily trafficked.]

I'm so gonna play this. I'm totally hooked on WoT and I'm sure this will be addictive as well.

I'll give it a go, perhaps several go's as I did with "WoT" (but was never "hooked"). Be interesting to see how it p-lays after playingt Flight Sims since the early '80's.

Will give this a go probably. But WOT convinced me to quit after the beta, so i have low hopes for this as well. Free is still free though.

I've played about 2000 games of WoT. If they do this properly I'll play this to equal death. I'm usually completely allergic to grinds, but I actually enjoy the process needed to get exp in this case.

Being a flight-sim fanatic, I will definitely give this a go!

Actually correct that, at least 2500 games.

@Longsword
First of all, nice to see a Might and Magic avatar.

Second, don't keep your hopes up for a realistic simulator. If you try World of Tanks, you might know better what to expect.

I do fancy the my avatar ^_^ Big time fan of the Might and Magic series (God, I feel ancient now). I will take your recommendation about trying World of Tanks then. Don't want to get my hopes shot down (no pun intended) ;)

Well I'm assuming that both games will have a similar balance and feel to them, obviously if you're dealing planes you're going to have to tweak things a bit.
