Wedbush Morgan securities film analyst Michael Pachter is claiming that not only has the unannounced Grand Theft Auto V been in development by Rockstar, but has already cost them $80M in costs. He also predicts that GTA5 will sell at least 18 million units, and may sell as many as 24 million.
As related by , "Yesterday, Take-Two reported its latest quarterly earnings, with its April 2012-March 2013 fiscal year to produce $2 earnings per share. This guidance is well above that of the publisher's in-progress fiscal year, and it led one analyst to ask whether it can be assumed that a new Grand Theft Auto will arrive during the quarter. (Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick dodged the question.)"
Pachter also thinks that Max Payne 3's budget will be similar to that of GTA5's. His estimated release date is sometime in 2012.
