It seems that Australian gamers will be getting the full version of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad after all. After we'd reported that Aussies could be getting a 'low violence' version to avoid being banned (since Australia has no R18+ rating yet), it seems it won't be necessary as the full, uncut version will be getting an MA15+ rating after all.

Tripwire reported happily, "After some initial concerns about ratings in Australia, Tripwire Interactive are happy to announce that Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad has been rated MA15+ ("Strong war violence, Gaming experience may change online") by the Australian Government Classification Board, with no cuts required. Nice job by Lace Mamba Global in the UK and AFA in Australia."

The game is now available uncut to pre-purchase through Steam, Direct 2 Drive, Gamers' Gate, and Green Man Gaming for Australians, in addition to the upcoming retail release on September 13.

You're not the only one, we're still quite lucky in EU regarding this.
