Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor brings the mechs to NYC

The world of 2082 looks a like like World War II, as the game takes place in a world devoid of semiconductors, and soldiers have to make do with more primitive means of combat - while at the same time retaining futuristic engineering. Hence, much like Trenched, you now have mechs with are more like walking tanks.

Check out the Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Gamescom trailer in the video below, as US soldiers try to take back the land that was once theres, like New York City.

Kinda looks nice but at the same time a bit silly. Mecha are cool when they are high tech, low tech mecha are probably worse than tanks. Higher profile, and the speed doesn't seem to be good either.

LOL at the poor USA getting invaded again :).

The US hasn't been invaded. It's been captured and taken.

The US troops aren't trying to defend their turf. They're trying to get it back.

It had to invaded first to be occupied :)

Keep in mind this is not an American game. This is a Japanese game. :D

Oh ok, that makes it a bit more justifiable. A foreign power, hint hint :).
It explains the mecha as well. They tend to come up with reasons why mecha is better than the regular stuff quite often.
