They're separate from the main single-player campaign and there are six co-op levels in total at launch, but 'random factors' will keep them fresh says DICE. "No, you have to be online to do it," said DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson at Gamescom this week. He was referring to the new co-op and if it supported the only 'couch co-op' style. Co-op levels take between 20 to 45 minutes said Troedsson. Times and scores are comparable to friends when you've completed a co-op mission. Points are racked up for displays of teamwork which DICE are very keen to promote all throughout Battlefield 3. Co-op has been debuted for the first time at Gamescom.
