Dragon Age III will be a 'mix' of the first two games

Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II both had their positives and negatives, and it was the negatives that fans cried out the loudest about. The first Dragon Age was too staid and plodding, while the second game was too console-ish. Bioware states that the third Dragon Age will be a mix of the two games.

According to Dr. Ray Muzyka in an interview with PC Gamer, “What we need to do as developers is take that feedback from both sets of fans to heart and see about marrying that in future games in the Dragon Age franchise. I think that the team has actually got a great plan. I think the team is going to have some things that are going to surprise both sets of fans, both core fans and new fans with a marriage of these…the best from both games, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. And we look forward more to talking about that in the future.”

Let us know what you'd like to see in Dragon Age III.

That doesn't sound too well for me, one of the thing new fans liked was the combat aspect - and I really got bored with fighting so I turned down the setting to easiest just to get through the fighting ASAP.Oh well - I will not do any pre-orderings, extra editions - buy the butt-lowest and cheapest version to find this time. No use in giving companies money for the "extras" cause it all usually turns out to be gravel anyway...

After the horrible disappointment DA:2 was, I'll not take anything they say at face value, waiting for the release.

Same here.
But is still haven't lost my faith in them since Bioware has a really good track record. It would take a few more of failures like DA2 to downgrade them to 'just a regular developer'.

And i've learned my lesion about preorders a long time ago, i simply don't preorder anymore. No reviews = no purchase.

I'm already scared of this mix.

Actually I'll be interested to see what BioWare can put together, pasrticularly if they take into account all gamers' feedback (the sensible, not the rants). I'm optimistic, but not so much that I'd dare a Pre-order.
