Far Cry 3 out around Q4 2012

There's no specific date for Ubisoft's new Far Cry 3 but a representative apparently let slip to a Spanish gaming site that they're aiming for a late 2012 window.

That would be anytime from October to December next year, which isn't too bad. Far Cry 3 is said to be leaps and bounds (a far cry?) from its predecessors.

Life in the surrounding environment is a major focus in the new Far Cry, as is vastly improved AI for enemies and drop kicking that silly 'weapon durability' mechanic. Check out the E3 2011 trailer for Far Cry 3 below which releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I'm afraid Ubisoft's DRM and it's UPlay service are still too much of an issue at present to ignore when considering this title. At least for me they are.

The graphics look spectacular though. That's usually enough to convince me to buy a AAA game.
