EA CEO John Riccitiello has been talking at a session with investors at the William Blair & Company's 28th Annual Growth Stock Conference, and assured investors that the upcoming Bioware RPG Dragon Age would not be a risk for the company.

"(Dragon Age) speaks to a very, very, very important audience," said Riccitiello. "This is a core RPG created for fans that love (BioWare), and it's about dragons. This is not risky. This is an audience that we know, that we can deliver for and generate very substantial profits by doing so."

Not an MMORPG, unless they switched...

Problem is that it will probably be in for the same controversy as Mass Effect was since it is EA and BioWare again. They have lost its touch to speak with the audience they once knew. They have a rabid fanbase left and some console-hungry fans still but the Baldurs Gate fanbase they base this on is not a forgiving bunch. BioWare better aim to strike new land here and I think they will.
As always, I remain skeptical.
