Team 17 has announced new downloadable content for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network versions of Worms 2: Armageddon. Each version gets a different set of DLC.

The XBLA downloadable content, which is available right now, is the "Puzzle Pack", which, as it implies, is filled with brain-teaser Worms puzzle levels.

"The “Puzzle Pack” is crammed full of brain-teasing puzzles that will challenge even the most seasoned “Worms” players, but we are confident that they are up to it” according to Team 17 Head of Design John Dennis. “Offering a mind-boggling collection of 20 single-player puzzle missions, which require the player to be as cunning as a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxbridge University (wherever that is?!). With the addition of 5 brand new Achievements, a new landscape theme and a selection of new, puzzle-themed hats, gravestones and speech-banks, it's a real test of skill.”

Also available right now are two DLC packs for the PSN version, the "Time Attack Pack" and the "Retro Pack".

• The Worms™ 2: Armageddon “Time Attack Pack” for PlayStation 3 features 20 new heart-pounding single-player race missions designed to test players’ Rope and Jet Pack skills to the limit! The “Time Attack Pack” also includes 3 new hats, 3 new speech banks, 3 new gravestones, a new “Time Attack” landscape theme and 12 new Trophies.

• The Worms™ 2: Armageddon “Retro Pack” for PlayStation 3 features 20 single-player missions that have been hand-picked from the classic Worms™: Armageddon game and re-worked exclusively for this downloadable content pack. The “Retro Pack” also includes 3 new hats, 3 new speech banks, 3 new gravestones, a new landscape theme and 12 new Trophies. The single-player mission maps can also be used for multi-player battles.

The XBLA “Puzzle Pack” costs 320 Microsoft Points, while each of the PSN downloadable content packs cost £2.99/$4.99/€3.59 each.
