Back in July, GamersFirst denied rumors that the company would be giving Reloaded Production's APB: Reloaded a retail release. Well, those rumors have come true, as the resurrected MMO will be heading back to stores in November.

How will a free-to-play MMO be sold on shelves when it can be downloaded - and played - for free? Well, the boxed version will come with a recommended retail price of $30, but comes stocked with $50 worth of in-game items like vehicles, as well as a premium month of enhanced cash-earning.

GamersFirst's position might have been influenced by the tremendous success of the free-to-play reboot. According to Rahul Sandil, GamerFirst's senior VP of marketing, “The response from retail has been so overwhelming that we are considering launching with a half-million units."

APB: Reloaded's comeback story is one of the few genuine feel-good moments in recent videogames history.
