The PC version of the Banana Republic city simulator, Tropico 4, is now available in North America. Gamers everywhere can be the dictator of a small island nation and decide how to rule the tropic paradise: as a man of the people, as a fascistic tyrant, or some mixture in between.

"Tropico 4 features all new missions across new maps and includes exciting and fun new features to keep the action fresh and challenging," brags the press release, "You can even elect ministers into power to help get your more controversial decisions passed through the government. But remember to keep your friends close and your enemies closer as everyone has an agenda!"

Gamers interesting to get a taste of Tropico 4 can download the demo directly from Strategy Informer here. An Xbox 360 version is due to be released later this year.
