A new, fascinating detail was revealed shortly after the announcement of Crysis for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3: it will be a pure digital launch. There will be no boxed retail version on store shelves.

Xbox 360 version.

The game will be priced at 1600 MS points for Xbox Live Arcade and 14.99 on PlayStation Network.

We are extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish with Crysis. We set out to create a next-generation FPS and delivered a PC experience that became a benchmark for quality and still is for many gamers even four years later, said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli.

By bringing the single-player campaign to console, we believe we are again setting a new standard for quality in downloadable gaming.

Digital only puts me off.
I like to feel like my moneys been well spent e.g. having a games box added to my games shelf.

Not interested in this ... FPS for consoles... nah. And Crysis wasn't that good a game to begin with. Was fun until the aliens showed up...
