Nordic Games has announced that it's developing ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif, which will be released for PC on 25th October, 2011.

The stand-alone expansion pack is the next instalment of the ArcaniA storyline. This will be the first game to be released by the recently established company Nordic Games, who are based in Vienna, Austria.

"We are glad that ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif happens to be the first release of our company. There are still a lot of background activities taking place, but I could not think of a better way to break the ice and get our communications started than with this product announcement", comments Lars Wingefors, CEO, Nordic Games.

ArcaniA: Fall of Setarrif has an estimated playtime of between 4 and 8 hours, will retail at EUR 14.99, and will be available from all major digital distribution stores.

I haven't even played the first Arcadia, but looks so good!

Damn, that is a pity. The graphics looks good, but then again, I have learned that not all good looking games are good.

Then I am very disappointed. Doubt that I will ever play the game then!

The first Arcania was an ok game if you weren't expecting Gothic, which we almost all were, so yes the game kinda sucked :).

I don't understand why would they intentionally choose to ruin such a series as Gothic, it had a big following. Thankfully we still have Risen :).

Skipped first Arcadia due to reviews and such - this won't make me start trying Arcadia games.

I also never played Risen, though a friend of mine said it is not that good.

Risen = Gothic, just a different world but it was basically the same game. If you like Gothic you would also like Risen.

I didn't play Risen either - tried a demo and well same with Two Worlds - they just seemed like inferior games, IMO, to Elder Scroll games. Tried my hands at Gothic 2 and 3 - and while I played some hours of Gothic 3 - the bugs and problems and then later the mechanics made me shun the series completely.

Guess that I will never know until I try. I will maybe take a test sometime, maybe download a demo or something.

I love the Gothic series more than any other RPG, more than the Elder Scrolls as well :). It's a matter of opinion i guess, maybe with Skyrim i will switch sides but in Gothic vs Oblivion, Oblivion sucked in comparison as far as i'm concerned :).
Well the Gothic series is dead but we'll see how the original creators of Gothic do with Risen 2, i have high hopes and i have the same high hopes for Skyrim as well :).

I am not one to judge a game until I have played it. Dungeon Siege III for an example. Almost everyone I know complains about the game. Not once have I heard a person saying that the game is great.

I for one love the game, it is fun and the graphics is actually quite good as well. I bought myself the original and even today still I am not sorry for purchasing the game.
