Arsenal mode added to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Valve has announced that it has added the Arsenal game mode as one of the gameplay options for Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CS: GO).

Arsenal Mode is based on the popular Counter-Strike: Source mod "Gun Game". The "Arsenal: Arms Race" and "Arsenal: Demolition" modes will add eight new maps and expand on the regular Counter-Strike gameplay.

Even better news for Counter-Strike veterans, the modders who created Gun Game are working with Valve on Arsenal. "We are excited that Valve reached out and is working with us to ensure Arsenal Mode is the best version of Gun Game.", Gun Game creator Michael Barr beamed.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be launched in early 2012 for PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
