EA Sports' FIFA 12 has earned the third biggest all format launch week in the UK, besting Grand Theft Auto IV. This knocked down Gears of War 3 2nd.

Silicon Knights' X-Men: Destiny entered 18th while the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection took 7th. A Game of Thrones - Genesis missed the chart.

FIFA 12 beat last year's FIFA 11 by 18 percent in unit sales and 34 percent in revenue for its opening week. Only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops kept the latest football instalment from scoring the record for the biggest UK launch week ever.

Dead Island stays strong in 5th place despite the price going up because of stock shortages, followed by Deus Ex: Human Revolution in 6th. Zumba Fitness kept boogying 4th place. Below is the UK all format chart top 20 for the week ending October 1st.

I just knew bloody "Zumba" would be up there in the UK charts still. What is it with this fetish for weight loss there? The USA has just been lsited in the #1 slot for obesity in the world, with 50% of Australians also overweight. More gaming, less eating:)
